Hacking the Hustle: How to Stay Blissfully Productive (half-day workshop)

  • 611 East 50th Street Austin, TX, 78751 United States (map)

If you’ve worked in UX for any length of time, you’ll know that the work can be quite taxing at times. The pace of it can get grueling in fact. We can get caught up in over-scoping and over-promising and before you know it, you’ve exceeded your capacity to stay present and focused on what’s happening. Next think you know, the coffee’s no longer working and you’re nodding off while the final lab participant of the day is thinking out loud and it all sounds like a mush of buttons...and email confirmations and...what did they say?

The point is, If we’re way out of our zone of resourcing, we’re not able to access our full capacities and we may miss something.

So what can we do? Ideally, we don’t set ourselves up with such a hectic pace, but this is not always possible and besides, we all have different tolerances for what is possible or not. In this workshop, we’ll share with you some techniques the Connected Researcher uses for staying resourced, even in the face of a heroic schedule.

You’ll leave the workshop with:

  • A precise picture of your personal “window of tolerance”

  • Real and portable skills for resourcing yourself

  • Techniques for self care that fit in any lifestyle

  • A refueled, recharged and invigorated creative

Cost: $39 - early bird rate until 10/19 after that $79/person

  • Price includes a fresh and delectable vegan lunch
